Updates

Did some illustrations for the May issue of Management Today magazine.  They feature in an article about university graduates.  I produced 5 portraits to accompany it.

Been busy with another project these last few weeks, hopefully I’ll be able to unveil it pretty soon.

In zine news, I got a mention in Bombcast podcast where the hosts briefly discuss Rum Lad 5 after picking up at the Chicago zine fest.  Talking of zine fests, Nottingham is hosting one on 28th May which I’ll be attending.

Elsewhere, my friends Alex Wrekk and Derek Neuland are in the process of opening their very first shop – ‘Portland Button works’ whereby if you live in the area of Portland, Oregon, you can stop by and make your own badges/buttons.  Also buy zines and what have you.  I sent them a zine package a few weeks ago so they have some Rum Lads in stock now.  Go and have a look and say hello.

New issue of Left Lion.

If you’re a resident of Nottingham, make sure you pick up the newest issue of Left Lion.  Rum Lad issue 5 is given a nice review and i’m also featured in ‘Write Lion’ where a large print of one of the illo’s I did for Alyson Stoneman is on display.

I’d totally forgotten about this, found in an old sketchbook.

I drew this lady sat opposite me in the waiting area.  Next thing I know i’m in a hospital bed.  Will probably elaborate more on this in the near future…

New work.

So last night I attended the release night of ‘Lost Lands’, a poetry book by Aly Stoneman.  The event was in the Humanities department of Leicester Uni, curated by Crystal Clear Creators and funded by the Arts council, England.
